BCDC—A Great Team and a Great Place to Work!

There are lots of factors in determining where someone would like to work. Among these factors are location, salary, cost of living and work-life balance. One factor that is difficult to quantify is the workplace culture. While many organizations talk about coming to join a great team, what are some of the metrics that determine that?


Well, here at BCDC, one of the factors that we can quantify is the number of employees who have received the Texas A&M University System Office Employee of the Quarter (EOQ) award. Over the past year, three BCDC employees received the award (so, three out of four quarters). Awardees must be nominated by other employees within their department through a formal process. The nominations are reviewed and then the winner is announced at a quarterly recognition ceremony.


The three employees who received the award over the past year are:

Kevin Brown (July 2025): Senior Laser Technologist. Kevin works with our Technical Area 1 team with a specific focus on supporting directed energy research at both the ALLEMO and the Ballistic, Aero-Optics and Materials (BAM) Range.

Will Seward (October 2025): Senior Technologist III. Will works with the BAM Range team as a senior technology specialist in support of both hypersonics and directed energy research.

Stephanie Czajkowski received the Texas A&M University System Offices Employee of the Quarter award in April, 2026.

Stephanie Czajkowski (April 2026): Business Administrator II. Stephanie is the lead business manager for BCDC, handling multiple sensitive accounts related to ongoing projects in excess of $15 million.
